Know the Savior

This month will build up to the celebration of the birth of Jesus - but do we know the Man Jesus? As we celebrate the birth of the Baby, we also celebrate that we know the Savior.

As encouraging as these daily Facebook posts are, they barely scratch the surface when it comes to knowing the Savior Jesus. We CAN know Christ better. He WANTS us to know Him better.

God gave us everything we need to make it possible. “His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness” (2 Peter 1:3).

Specifically, God gave us the Spirit to make it possible. "I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better" (Ephesians 1:17).

Everything We Need: God’s Path to Know Him Better

God whispers to us “Know My Word; know Me. How can you love and serve Me if you don’t know Me?”

We merely respond, “I’m saved. I know God. It’s all good.”

People are saved through faith but that’s not the end. Salvation is only a step in our spiritual journey. Yet we struggle with where to go and what to do after that life-changing decision. “God has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him” (2 Peter 1:3 NIV). Can we really know Him better than we do now?

Everything We Need: God's Path to Know Him Better will walk us through twelve topics God tells believers we need to know. Growth will become evident as we journey from knowing Jesus is the Christ all the way through knowing about our eternity with Him, and even to knowing God Himself.
